The LZ League 2023 ELITE is already underway, with the celebration of Tournament 1 at the Olympiazentrum OÖ Linz.
The (66) athletes held a joint kumite session in the morning, and after a delicious catering served by SPAR Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting, they contested Tournament 1 with the round robin system.
The round robin system for this initiation and learning competition adapts certain rules according to the level and age of the athletes: 6×6 tatami, unlimited scoring, a coach/referee who instructs during the fights, penalties for corrections are replaced, running time.
Fight Club – České Budějovice – CZE, LZ Pinzgau – Salzburg – AUT and Karate Oberösterreich Youth Elite Team – Oberösterreich – AUT were the participating teams with a total of (32) female athletes and (34) male athletes.
The round robin tournament was divided into female and male categories by age, u10, u12, u14 and u16 – u18, by weight and by Started and Advanced level, with a total of (86) bouts organized on (2) tatamis per space of less than (2) hours.
