ANTALYA – ANOTHER STEP OF GOOD PRESENCE

The second Karate Premier League 1 of the season was presented with a support of 370 athletes from 60 countries of the 5 continents and concluded with a high level of intense matches, showing the talent and intensity of karate from around the world.

Our athletes continue to improve progressively, taking firm steps and interesting performances. Despite this improvement, they were classified in the group stage (round robin).

Lejla TOPALOVIC -61kg is in a sweet moment with (7) victories in the last two Karate 1 tournaments – Larnaca and Antalya – She knew how to recover from her start in the round robin phase, winning against two experienced athletes who were experts in keeping the result in their favor, she remained calm, tied, came back and won. Important victory over the top 8 of the world ranking, which consolidates it among the top26.

With good bouts, significant improvements and brilliant moments against top 10 opponents, Marina VUKOVIC -68kg, Lora ZILLER 68+KG and Stefan POKORNY -75kg left without a victory in the round robin group but with a presence on the tatami worthy of highlighting.

Something similar was the case of the Olympic medalist Bettina PLANK -50kg, her group was reduced to (3) athletes due to the injury in the first fight of the Canadian Lahyanssa.
