NATIONAL TEAM TRAINING – ONE STEP TO WKF BUDAPEST 2023 –

The national team completed the specific preparation for the 26th World Championship Budapest 2023. Montafoner Hof and Schulsport-Zentrum Tschagguns welcomed the athletes and coaches with open arms and exquisite kindness. The team led by a friendly Seraphin TSCHOHL provided all kinds of facilities and support, including a rewarding view of the mountainous area on Thursday morning

For four days the national coaches polished the details of the national squad with their sights set on Budapest 2023 to celebrate the 26th edition of a World Championship in the Hungarian capital that will accommodate (112) countries and (1.132) athletes.

The last (4) world editions were successful for the small Austrian Team: Bremen 2014 Bronze – BUCHINGER -68 kg; 7. PLANK -50 kg and 9. Female Team Kumite, Linz 2016 – Gold BUCHINGER -68 kg and Bronze PLANK -50 kg, Madrid 2018 – Bronze PLANK -50 kg, Dubai 2021 – 9. PLANK -50 kg

The Austrian Team – BUDAPEST 2023 – will be:

KATA – Jutta RATH (Female) and Florian ZOECHLING (Male).

MALE TEAM KATA – FORSTER, NUSSBAUMER, WAGNER.

FEMALE KUMITE – Bettina PLANK (-50 kg) Lejla TOPALOVIC (-61kg) Marina VUKOVIC (-68 kg) and Nina SCHUSTER (68+ kg).

MALE KUMITE – Hamsat ISRAILOV (-60 kg) Stefan POKORNY (-75 kg) and Luca RETTENBACHER (-84 kg). FEMALE TEAM KUMITE – TOPALOVIC, VUKOVIC, ZILLER, DEVIGILI.
